I’m Kyle, a website designer based in Wausau. I build clear, capable sites for local businesses and small organizations, and you work directly with me from the first conversation through launch.
I start with a call or a few emails about your business, what the site needs to do, and where the current one gets in the way.
I write up the scope, cost, and timeline in plain language. The proposal sets out the work, price, and working timeline before the agreed build begins.
I share real screens early, while changes are easy and expected. You see the site come together instead of waiting on a big reveal.
I put it live, test it, and show you how to run it. Before launch, I explain the handoff and what post-launch help is included. Later maintenance is scoped separately.
Right-sized work for real businesses, without enterprise scope or a fill-in-the-blanks template.
These are self-directed sample projects — things I made to show what I can do, not client work. They’re the honest way to judge the craft before we’ve built anything together.

Practical guides to cost, timing, and hiring a designer locally.

Lamplight fits around my full-time job, so I take on a few projects at a time and give honest timelines before work begins.
You work with me through design, build, launch, and the small fixes after. If it isn’t a good fit, I’ll say so early.
Tell me a little about what you’re after. Even a rough idea is a fine place to start — I’ll reply with plain thoughts on whether I’m the right fit, and what a sensible next step looks like.
